WE LOVE LEARNING THE SOUNDS IN ENGLISH! THESE ARE SOME OF THE ONES WE HAVE LEARNT. CAN YOU THINK OF WORDS THAT HAVE ANY OF THESE SOUNDS?
I CAN THINK OF “SUN” AND STAR” FOR THE /S/. WHAT ABOUT YOU?
I CAN THINK OF ” TREE” AND “TOMATO” FOR THE T
LET ME THINK
MAYBE I CAN THINK OF “APPLE” AND “ANT” FOR THE A,
AND “SPIDER” AND “SOCKS” FOR THE S.
ALSO “NURSE” AND “NAPKIN” FOR THE N
THEN, “TEACHER” AND “TOY” FOT THE T,
LATER, “ICE” FOR THE I,
AND FINALLY “PUPPET” AND “PAINT” FOR THE P
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST…….KISSES FO THE K!!!!
Thank you so much Ceci! All your contributions are welcomed. We also thought of ice cream for the /i/ because it begins with that letter but then we realized that the /i/ in ice cream does not sound like the /i/ of iguana or igloo. We are realizing that in English, letter and sound correspondence does not always work. It looks difficult at some points but we are having fun in the process! 🙂
